Day 1 of the Rest of Your Life: After Reviewing Rich Experiences
I have spent the last couple of days recalling, finding images of and including in the Rich Experiences section of this website as many highlights of Valerie and my 30 years together as I could. There are more - some that I can think of now (like our, Tim’s and Todd’s wedding days) - some that I will recall later (like at 4:00 am some morning), and some that others will remind me of. These will all be included in due course.
One reflection is that I have been quite blessed to have had so many unique and wonderful experiences in my 30 years with Valerie. Our objective is to make every day an experience, but clearly some days and events stand out and are more easily and more fondly remembered years later.
I said to Valerie the other day, ‘If I have 15 years to live, maybe I should look at that time as if I was a newborn. Considering how much a new person learns from Day 1 to the last day of their 15th year there is a lot of time left to learn, do and accomplish things.’ Actually 5478 days, including extra days for the three leap years in the next 15.
At any rate have a look at the Rich Experiences section - you may find your picture (or not).
